HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- ✅ Consonants (including the tricky ones: filho, minha, carro, caro, and the palatalization of the d and t - e.g. dia, noite.)
✅ Oral vowel sounds (avô, avó, você, pé, etc.)
✅ Oral diphthongs: 2 vowels - letters or sounds - in the same syllable. (e.g. pai, rei, pau, etc.)
✅ Oral triphthongs: 3 vowels - letters or sounds - in the same syllable. (e.g. averiguei / I ascertained)
✅ Nasal vowel sounds (e.g. sim; maçã, etc.)

My name is Fernando and I'm a Brazilian Portuguese Teacher, Translator & Interpreter based in London, UK. I was born in Porto Alegre, the capital of the Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul State. After I graduated from university, I visited London as a tourist and liked it so much that I moved back to train to be a teacher, translator and interpreter. In my 20+ years of experience I have helped many people on their journey to learn Brazilian Portuguese. Teaching is my passion and I am proud to have taught Brazilian Portuguese to staff of British Airways, BBC, Sotheby’s, Fine Line Film Distribution, among many others.

The primer I needed
Thank you very much for your courses, I am planning to travel to Brazil in the next few months and my friends who speak Portuguese gave their blessing when I showed them the content I was following. They said it was good content and exactly how they would expect to hear someone speaking Portuguese.

Great course!!
Coming from a Germanic language some of the sounds in Brazilian Portuguese is very un-natural. However Fernando use a methodical and step -by-step approach which breaks it down to pieces that will make you master the pronunciation with enough practice. Well done!!

This course is really fun and helpful! He breaks everything down in little chapters explaining how to pronounce it with visual and auditory lessons. The lessons are 4-10minutes long, and at the end you have practice exercises to help retain the information. This course has really helped me with my "mush mouth" speech.

Outstanding course on Pronunciation
I like the fact that the lessons are so well prepared and disciplined to focus on the objective of the course. I learned a lot even in the first video on how to pronounce the letters of the alphabet. I highly recommend this course for anyone beginning their journey to learn Brazilian Portuguese or, I suspect, even if you are an intermediate speaker and want to improve on your accent.
