My name is Fernando and I'm a Brazilian Portuguese Teacher, Translator & Interpreter based in London, UK. I was born in Porto Alegre, the capital of the Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul State. After I graduated from university, I visited London as a tourist and liked it so much that I moved back to train to be a teacher, translator and interpreter. In my 20+ years of experience I have helped many people on their journey to learn Brazilian Portuguese. Teaching is my passion and I am proud to have taught Brazilian Portuguese to staff of British Airways, BBC, Sotheby’s, Fine Line Film Distribution, among many others.

After following Fernando's Insta account for a couple of months, I knew I finally came across my type of teacher(funny) and my type of learning materials(funny and practical). I was actually thinking about purchasing this book when the Black Friday offer came in. I was thrilled and jumped on the opportunity and now, am very happy with what I've got. The stories on this book are easily relatable, yet very funny and interesting. What also amazes me is that those words and phrases I've been wondering what to say in Portuguese keep popping up. Great learning resource
I have used a variety of resources to self-teach myself Brazilian Portuguese and this is my favourite so far. They are interesting and the translations and embedded vocabulary lists are really helpful. The vocabulary is useful vocabulary too.

The stories are short and entertaining. It is a fun way to practice reading and listening. Picked up a good amount of vocabulary. I highly recommend it.

I love these short stories. For a beginner they are very easy to understand. More than that Fernando's pronunciation is very clear, precise and easy on the ear. I love the humour in these stories. They are a great addition to my tool kit to boost me on my path to fluency. Highly recommended.

Very easy to understand!
As someone who isn't quite fluent but also not beginner-level, this book was very easy to understand. I learned new words an also learned how to use them in the right context. The glossary is incredibly useful, it was a good choice! What I did was I read the stories, waited a few days to revisit them and I tried to translate a bit more than last time. It's very useful and so far I'm loving it! It's also very easy on the eyes to read, it's not overwhelming nor is it confusing. Everything is pieced together very well.
